OUR STORY
When Josh and Ash Became JASH
We met outside the Palace Theatre in London on the 28 January 2012, it was freezing but we pushed on with our plans. We went for lunch before deciding if there was a spark between us to continue the date… luckily there was and our first date continued on to London Zoo. Shortly afterwards, on the 12 March 2012, Ash asked Josh to be his boyfriend. From then, we quickly became best friends as well as partners.
In 2014, we bought our house in Ambleside and within the five years we have lived here, seven cats, two hamsters and 500 stick insects have also called it home – there is a current ban on any new pets.
On the 19 April 2017, after what felt like a never ending walk through the tropical forest and almost vertical hills, we reached the top of The Peak in Hong Kong, and overlooking the bay, Ash proposed. It was an incredible moment in our relationship and the very first day of our holiday. The wedding planning began shortly afterwards…
We viewed a few places but none of them compared to Port Lympne Reserve. This has always been a special place in our relationship; we’ve been numerous times, and seen so many rare and wonderful animals. For us, it was the perfect place to get married and begin the next chapter in our lives.
